I'm kind of sad....cuz i was being stupid.... aka i uploaded a picture of my partial face to ask the chinese web ppl what they think about me getting those double eye lid surgeries. (since i thought.....asian ppl preoccupied with big eyes.....would know?)
Apparently chinese ppl don't upload their faces.....not even part of their face. Or if they DO upload it has to be extremely beautiful and perfect and everything.
And so they were picking apart my chinese T_T.... and my face
Sigh..... oh well.... at least some of the 'offensive' things they said were pluses in my book....
What else? Oh yeah my elementary school friend is visiting me this week. Not sure what we're gonna do tho. Apparently she and our other friend went on an MIT tour yesterday! So jealous!

SAD! I don't understand why chinese people don't upload pictures of their faces?? Is there a reason? It seems bizarre to me.
I don't understand why you'd upload a picture of yourself i you looked perfect, unless you were fishing for flattery. Which seems really shallow. And people that say offensive things are probably ugly inside (and maybe out) as well. No worries =)
I would be careful with the double eyelid surgery. Not all surgeons are the same, and you can end up looking like you got a really obvious eyelid surgery, which is kind of embarrassing. Oh, and when you get older, it can REALLY look pretty funny, unless the surgeon did an awesome job.
I like your eyes! (esp with your eyeliner skillzzzz) I don't think you need to change them. But then... I'm kind of biased because lately I really like monolid asian eye shapes, even if they are smaller. They're pretty and unique! I think most non-asians agree with this, and only asians have some Michael-Jackson-esque self hatred of their own features.

I know right?? It doesn't make any sense to me..... like they won't ever upload unless they look *perfect*. Perfect skin, perfect face etc..... I don't get it at all. (and also what they think is pretty is not pretty in my book so whatevs.....)
And I don't know why they like saying mean things so much..... to ppl like me that are avg and just want advice. It's hard to give it if I just describe in words and not show a picture of how my actual facial structure is right??? *shrugs*
I'm of the same opinion as you.....apparently I have a 'westerner taste in Asian faces' as well. The only problem with my eyes are that sometimes it loops droopy and.....triangle-shaped. My grandpa has the same thing and now that he's old the outer triangle edge droops down so much it blocks part of his eyes. So I dunno if I should do something about it now......or wait until it happens.
But I like my eye's current shape and I don't think double eyelids will look that much prettier..... if i do get them.....i'd probably get really narrow ones? idk..... I'm leaning on not getting them right now
