I met some asian graduate students today.....was soooo surprised when they told me they were from Canada too. I was like.....omg..... really? wouldn't have guessed! I felt so different yet similar to them. Must be cuz i got transplanted into the US earlier than them xP
Also at the same conference....i was looking thru the posters and one guy magically appeared and started talking to me. Cuz I was looking at his poster. And I was kinda scared he was a prof or something cuz he looked kinda old. OK.....not OLD old.... but not a young just out of college look. He turned out to be a post-doc. And we chatted for a bit. He seemed interesting....(and interested) I totally wanted to ask for his number or something T_T..... but i dunno is it unprofessional? HAHA. And somehow I'm more into Latino/African-american men these days..... must be my roommate's influence T_T
anyways.....back to focusing on how to make my life not so screwed up.....orz

I think you are really influenced by whoever is around you... you kind of absorb their personality kind of like a sponge. This reminds me Silar on HEroes =P jk! Although, I think you're finding more of yourself over time. Guess it will be a work in progress? I don't think girls should ask for numbers ... leave that up to the guy!
