フリーター、家を買う

I had to make a separate post for this! Like Grace, I still watch dramas sometimes. And this is a really great one. (not to mention i like the singer that sang the opening)

Freeter, buying a home

It's about a freeter (someone that has a temp job) , he quit his old formal job cuz he's not satisfied and don't know what he wants etc. They also mix in family elements, marriage/cheating, bullying even in adulthood (more like....fitting in?). Anyways i like the topics it touches on and it's very much life-like..... messy, all over the place but we have to get thru it. And it re-affirmed for me how sad a life it'd be to be a japanese housewife O_o

Apparently it has really high ratings too 17% (for comparison usually ~12% is good for a japanese drama these days)

And the most important part is that it finally features engineers!!! I mean how many shows, American or otherwise have engineers as one of the main characters/ professions? Of course they sorta dumb it down and call it 'designing bridges' and show lots of blueprint pics, but they started talking about computing/physics and 'FEM' (finite element method) LOL

I find the drama really sad though. :/....more so the mother's side of the story than the rest of it. > <" It's hard to watch through without..wanting to cry. DX

LOL on the engineers part. But maybe because it's an asian drama, they like science better.

That sounds like a sad story, but maybe more realistic than regular dramas. Maybe people like it because we can all relate to those issues! It's good that you found a good new drama to watch =D
